This is Debby Burns during our wedding in 1986. She is my beautiful wife, my partner, a wonderful mother, and an excellent photographer...... Photo taken by Kay McGinley.
I moved from the Canon Ftb to the Canon A1 in 1984.
Continuing to shoot film photography, I was intrigued by video on tape, replacing 8mm film, and bought my first video-cam, a one tube fully manual, in 1985. My next camera was a JVC 3-tube with a 14x interchangable lens and 3/4" recorder, and then (2) Panasonic S-Video cams. Finally, in 1996 I bought a DCR VX-1000 3-chip Sony, which continues to serve me well. Also, 1996 gave us professional desktop video production, with computerized digital non-linear editing. Point of View Productions was founded.
For a decade, high-end weddings were an ever-expanding learning experience, because our 3-man camera crew worked with the best photographers in Southwestern Idaho.
When digital moved to the SLR, I embraced the Nikon D70 and then the Nikon D80, which are the still cameras, we shoot today. Photography by Robert Burns.com melds our photographic talents and knowledge.
